Its the final countdown as i am to be assessed today on how "competant" i am in reception!
reception was my 9week certificate course..... what have i learned???

# Account payments
# prepairing for arriving geusts
# General sales
# Marketing activities
# Securitry practises
# Safety in the work place
# Geust accounts
# Walk in geusts (reservations)
# Delayed departuring geusts
# Customer service (plenty)
# booking of activities for geusts on the resort
# Key handeling procedures
# Recons (and the purpose of it)
# Being organised (and the purpose of it)
# Handeling boisterous and upset geusts
# Dealing with conflict
# Exceeding geusts expectations
Overall i think reception is a good certificate to have because of the skill you develope in the workplace. althou it was not always fun and exciting, it gives you a general idea of the "behind the scenes" procedures. You learn to deal with people with different personalities and to ajust yourself to make them feel comfertible.
Next i'm of to Accomodation skills................ :)
